How can I get in touch with you? A. Write to Christine Johnson at christine@psychosurgery.org. You can talk to her in complete confidence. ____________________________________ Q. I am writing a paper, doing a report, or want you to speak to my group/class. Can you help me? A. Yes. Mail questions or requests to christine@psychosurgery.org. ____________________________________ Q. I agree/disagree with everything your site has to say! How can I make my opinions known? A. Feel free to write an editorial and send it in for possible publication. Healthy debate is vital. We are certainly open to discussion and different points of view. ———————————————————— Q. Where are the gory lobotomy photographs? A. There are many places to find them on the web. Psychosurgery.org isn’t one of them. ____________________________________ Q. Why would you want anyone to know you are related to someone who was lobotomized? A..I have no reason to be ashamed. My grandmother was ill and we trusted her doctors. It is the doctors who lobotomized her who should be ashamed. ———————————————————— Q. What do you hope to accomplish with this website? A. I want to see to it that the tragedy of lobotomy is not forgotten. ———————————————————— Q. How can I get my deceased loved one’s medical records? A. You must write to the institution in which they were treated. If you are not the direct next-of-kin (i.e. you are a niece or nephew, step-child, etc.) you will need notarized permission from the next-of-kin. The best rule of thumb is to write and see what the institution asks you to provide. To get your own records, write to the institution and request them. Americans and Canadians can also check with MIB. |
